We only collect the minimum amount of information required to make this platform work. Here's what that includes:

1. Startup Ideas

• When you submit an idea for roasting, we store the raw idea, roast results, and associated metadata (score, verdict, reactions, and timestamps).
• If you're not logged in, we still save it anonymously so we can track platform usage and quality.
• If you're logged in, your ideas are tied to your account so you can revisit them, delete them, or download their brutal takedowns.

2. User Information

• If you sign up with email/password or Google, we store your email address securely via Supabase Auth.
• We don't store your password directly. Supabase handles secure password hashing and authentication.
• We don't access your Google account data beyond what's necessary for login verification.

3. Analytics & Diagnostics

• We may collect basic anonymous analytics (page views, form submissions, etc.) to understand how people interact with the product and make it better.
• No creepy fingerprinting. No ads. No unnecessary cookies.

Where We Store Your Data

All user data and roast submissions are securely stored via Supabase, our backend and authentication provider. Their infrastructure is built on secure Postgres databases and compliant with modern privacy standards.

AI Processing & Third Parties

When you submit an idea, it's sent to OpenAI's API to generate a roast. Here's how that works:

• Your idea text is sent to OpenAI (an external service) where it's analyzed using a multi-step prompt to produce scores, commentary, and reactions.
• None of your personal information is included in that request unless you put it in the idea itself — which we advise against.
• OpenAI may log requests for security and usage auditing as part of their platform policies.

What We Don't Do

• ❌ We do not sell your data.
• ❌ We do not serve ads.
• ❌ We do not share your account or roast content with third parties for marketing.
• ❌ We do not look at your ideas unless you make them public.

Data Retention

We keep your ideas and account data for as long as your account exists — or until you manually delete them. Anonymous ideas are retained to help improve our AI models and understand user behavior, but never linked back to you.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• View all the ideas and roast results tied to your account.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Request data export (we'll prepare a roast report for every idea you've ever dared to submit).
• Ask us questions or roast us about our policies.
